Continental AllSeasonContact 2 215/50 R18 96V XL EVc, with kerbing rib

Experience increased efficiency due to our advanced material and tread technology.

The AllSeasonContact 2 is constructed from advanced materials with an improved pattern design that reduces friction. This not only leads to lower abrasion, giving your tyre a longer life, but also reduced energy loss – key to minimizing fuel consumption and extending range.

Feel safe in any weather thanks to better handling and braking.

You can’t control the weather. But you can be prepared. With its new and improved compound technology, the AllSeasonContact 2 stays consistent under any temperature, providing better grip whatever the season as well as ultimate driving confidence and safety.

Enjoy our new adaptive tread design for a smooth and comfortable driving experience all year round.

Our adaptive tread design with its innovative c-block technology, gives the AllSeasonContact 2 a higher stiffness. Its open shoulders help transport water away from the tyre. This means better handling in curves and a smoother ride on straight roads, for a more pleasurable driving experience in any weather.

EU Tyre Label and Efficiency Classes

The European Union has introduced the EU Tyre Label by Regulation (No. 1222/2009) identically and bindingly for all EU member states. It applies to passenger car tyres, light commercial vehicle tyres and heavy commercial vehicle tyres produced after 01.07.2012.

Three different areas are tested: rolling resistance, wet grip and the rolling noise the tyre makes on the road.

The following are not affected by the EU Tyre Label: retreaded tyres, professional off-road tyres, racing tyres, tyres with additional devices to improve traction such as spiked tyres, T-type emergency tyres, special tyres for fitting to vehicles first registered before 1 October 1990, tyres with a maximum authorised speed of 80 km/h, tyres for rims with a nominal diameter of 254 mm or less or 635 mm or more.

With this regulation, the European Union is pursuing the goal of promoting economic and ecological efficiency in road traffic as well as increasing road safety on the one hand, and on the other hand, granting consumers more product transparency and at the same time serving as an active decision-making aid.

Already during the incorporation, experts criticise the fact that the EU Tyre Label unfortunately only shows a few product characteristics. Apart from rolling resistance, wet grip and rolling noise, which are the main focus of EU tyre labelling, tyres have much more important and safety-relevant product characteristics, such as aquaplaning properties, driving stability, service life, braking properties on dry and wet roads, behaviour in wintry conditions, etc.

Tyre manufacturers point out that test results from various institutions and journals remain an important information medium for the end consumer. These tests usually focus on further safety-relevant product characteristics besides the EU standard qualifications for tyre labelling, which are always important for the final customer.

Good grip, solid performance on rough country roads, and smooth enough on A roads, balanced breaking and no vehicle shudder

I've done around 8500 miles so far in mostly poor weather , very good grip in all winter conditions and mild conditions. Good all rounder.

Good grip on wet and dry roads. Reasonable grip on snow and icy roads. Noisy on dry roads. Fuel consumption has increased. All in all decent tyres.

Incredibly capable tyre for all conditions, but my experience on the roads in West Yorkshire will probably dictate that I don't purchase these tyres again as they are too soft on the sidewall, they do need some sort of protective band. The roads a terrible around Haworth for potholes, and in this case I could not dodge one and it has ripped the sidewall and damaged the rim, rendering the tyre scrap.
