Debica Presto UHP 2 215/50 R17 95W XL, with rim protection (MFS) DOT2021

Presto UHP2

The new Ultra High Performance tyre built with advanced technologies delivering confident sporty driving with increased mileage. Debica Presto UHP2 with a new asymmetric tread pattern and competitive labelling is dedicated to the demanding customers who are looking for tires for cars with higher engine power at a reasonable price.

Tread design with high number of biting edges, evacuate the water from the tread delivering more grip for the contact patch.
Asymmetric tread pattern and optimized outside rib stiffness delivers effective force transmission forgood dry performance at high speeds as well as braking distance.
Tire designed to effectively disperse water to maximize dry contact patch of the tire with the road and reduce aquaplaning.
Pressure is dispersed through the whole tread contact area spreading the wear evenly through the tire.
New optimized rolling resistance chafer compound reduce fuel consumption.

EU Tyre Label and Efficiency Classes

The European Union has introduced the EU Tyre Label by Regulation (No. 1222/2009) identically and bindingly for all EU member states. It applies to passenger car tyres, light commercial vehicle tyres and heavy commercial vehicle tyres produced after 01.07.2012.

Three different areas are tested: rolling resistance, wet grip and the rolling noise the tyre makes on the road.

The following are not affected by the EU Tyre Label: retreaded tyres, professional off-road tyres, racing tyres, tyres with additional devices to improve traction such as spiked tyres, T-type emergency tyres, special tyres for fitting to vehicles first registered before 1 October 1990, tyres with a maximum authorised speed of 80 km/h, tyres for rims with a nominal diameter of 254 mm or less or 635 mm or more.

With this regulation, the European Union is pursuing the goal of promoting economic and ecological efficiency in road traffic as well as increasing road safety on the one hand, and on the other hand, granting consumers more product transparency and at the same time serving as an active decision-making aid.

Already during the incorporation, experts criticise the fact that the EU Tyre Label unfortunately only shows a few product characteristics. Apart from rolling resistance, wet grip and rolling noise, which are the main focus of EU tyre labelling, tyres have much more important and safety-relevant product characteristics, such as aquaplaning properties, driving stability, service life, braking properties on dry and wet roads, behaviour in wintry conditions, etc.

Tyre manufacturers point out that test results from various institutions and journals remain an important information medium for the end consumer. These tests usually focus on further safety-relevant product characteristics besides the EU standard qualifications for tyre labelling, which are always important for the final customer.

Mature elderly, x competition experience so not a plodder by any means, retired now so on a budget, these tyres meet that, but excellent performance for the price, also its a must for me that al my tyres are of the same make and compound, went a profile section up from manufactures recommendation, very noticeable increase in grip and handling, only slight negative, possibly due to the excellent torque of my engine ( Turbo Diesel ) and my driving style rather than the tyres, but grip on initial acceleration from stationary even in the dry ( obviously worse in the wet ) definitely not the best, so suspect compound compromise, but nothing serious.

I like quiet and comfort when driving. These tyres provide that experience as well as a noticeable increase in economy. Being retired I do not have to go out in all weathers but when caught out by the weather these tyres perform well although snow, as might be expected, is a bit of a trial. Despite this I would look for these tires again as they suit my driving style and needs.

Generally... There are no surprises with these tires so far, they work great on wet surfaces, they are quiet, it's ok. I'm waiting for winter and the first snow.

Having fitted these tyres all round, they have transformed the car. I used popular well known Japanese brands previously which I had never truly been happy with. I fitted the new tyres and instantly the car felt better, more responsive and considerably smoother. The noise from the tyres was incredibly quiet and I was surprised at how much noise the previous tyres had actually generated. I have also noticed how much better the tyre grips under acceleration and the steering was sharper and more responsive to the touch. There also feels less rolling resistance on the road. I have noticed the tyre pattern looks far better for displacing water and whilst only currently driving in slightly wet conditions, again the feel and response instill a feeling of confidence and safety with good firm grip. Overall I'm greatly impressed with the tyre and would have no hesitation in recommending for performance, grip and safety.
