Dunlop  SP Winter Sport 3D RunFlat

A high performance tyre for unpredictable winter weather

The SP WinterSport 3D is a high performance tire that enables you to stay in control and react quickly to all weather conditions.

• Drivability in all weather conditions
• Excellent dry handling
• Improved wet and dry grip
• Aquaplaning resistance

Description:

The Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D gives better handling and stability when the road turns nasty and high performance handling without compromise when it’s dry. The SP Winter Sport 3D is a unique tyre for high performance driving on snowy/icy, wet and dry surfaces. A high performance tire for unpredictable winter weather: Drivability in all weather conditions, excellent dry handling, improved wet and dry grip and aquaplaning resistance.

Technology (Features):

• Better handling and stability on snowy/icy and wet roads
• High performance handling when it’s dry
• A tyre with 3 different types of blades cleverly positioned on 3 different parts of the tyre for high performance.

Consumer benefits:

• Great braking on all surfaces, including snow
• Longer tread life
• Ultimate control on winter roads
• Rim protection that protects expensive alloys from kerbing
• Exceptional acceleration and braking at high speeds

Aquaplaning resistance. Directional grooves create rapid and turbulence free water drainage, increasing aquaplaning resistance.

Drivability in all winter weather conditions. The WinterSport 3D is optimised to handle every kind of winter condition, thanks to three different sipes positioned on specific parts of the tyre.

Superb dry handling. The SP WinterSport 3D benefits from Dunlop Touch Technology to give you a better feel for the road – crucial for establishing control and handling. A new interlocking 3D sipe creates a tight shoulder area, which improves handling and stability on dry roads.

Excellent wet and dry grip. The special silica compound stays flexible at low temperatures to give you high levels of grip on wet and dry roads. Pressure is distributed evenly across a wide contact patch, helping to maintain road adherence.

Specific bead seat system. Strengthens the link between tyre and rim for a more precise driving experience. Like the grip between your hand and the steering wheel, the Specific Bead Seat System enhances control and conveys outstanding road feedback.Benefits Enhanced road feedback; greater stability and precision.

Silica-Plus Compound. A motorsport derived tread compound that delivers high levels of grip, particularly on wet roads and in low temperatures.Benefits Superb braking and acceleration performance; high grip in wet and cold-weather conditions; low wear and tear. Jointless Belt (JLB). A Hybrid Overlay Technology that reduces circumferential deformations at high speeds.Benefits Superior high speed stability

Maximum Flange Shield (MFS). A rim flange protection system. MFS employs a profile of rubber that runs around the circumference of the tyre above the wheel flange. This creates a protective buffer zone.* Benefits Protects expensive alloy wheels from kerbing.* Only available in select sizes

Multi Blade System. Winter driving conditions can vary greatly. From cold and dry to snow or sleet, these conditions make very high demands on a tyre. Dunlop’s multiple blade system meets this challenge head on, with different types of blades for varying winter road conditions.Benefits Consistent performance in various winter conditions.

Multi Radius Tread (MRT). MRT designs employ ten different radii and are therefore more precise. This results in highly effective pressure deployment on the road contact patch. The effect is smoother transitions from straight to corner, leading to more precise and progressive reactions.Benefits Significantly better control over the evolution of the footprint in all driving conditions; responsive wet and dry handling; increased cornering control.
