Continental VancoWinter 2 205/65 R16C 107/105T 8PR Dual Branding 103T

The high-traction expert for safety. Robust and safe with excellent grip. For winter use on small commercial vehicles and vans.

Commercial traffic faces constant time and economic pressures. In turn these pressures create great demand on the features of van tires. In wintry conditions, the right winter tire can not only help make driving with passengers and cargo safer, but also minimize the risk of failed or late deliveries.

The VancoWinter™ line traditionally sets the benchmark of optimal winter safety and performance for vans. The product line has proven itself on numerous occasions with tests by the media and in day-to-day application by end users.

The VancoWinter™ 2 is the new high-traction expert for safe transport of goods and people through the winter. Its genuine winter performance meets the requirements of the snowflake marking as provided by RMA testing standards.

Engineered in Germany, Continental offers premium tyres with optimum braking performance and safety. Optimised braking effect on snow and ice. Trusted by leading car manufacturers, including for example the models Iveco Daily, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Mercedes-Benz Vito/Viano.

Your Benefits:

Optimised braking effect on snow and ice
Car-orientated handling on snow
Cost-effective even in winter
Excellent protection against aquaplaning and safe wet handling
Robust construction

Optimised braking effect on snow and ice. When braking, the tyre has a high natural frequency within the compound. Multiple offset edges cause an ice-scraper effect for outstanding braking performance on wintry roads.

Car-oriented handling on snow. Gripping edges interlock with the snow to provide handling characteristics similar to a car on snow, wet and dry roads and during low temperature.

Excellent resistance to aquaplaning and safe wet handling. Open shoulders with lateral grooves support the water drainage in lateral direction, thus providing excellent protection from aquaplaning in wet and slushy conditions.

EU Tyre Label and Efficiency Classes

The European Union has introduced the EU Tyre Label by Regulation (No. 1222/2009) identically and bindingly for all EU member states. It applies to passenger car tyres, light commercial vehicle tyres and heavy commercial vehicle tyres produced after 01.07.2012.

Three different areas are tested: rolling resistance, wet grip and the rolling noise the tyre makes on the road.

The following are not affected by the EU Tyre Label: retreaded tyres, professional off-road tyres, racing tyres, tyres with additional devices to improve traction such as spiked tyres, T-type emergency tyres, special tyres for fitting to vehicles first registered before 1 October 1990, tyres with a maximum authorised speed of 80 km/h, tyres for rims with a nominal diameter of 254 mm or less or 635 mm or more.

With this regulation, the European Union is pursuing the goal of promoting economic and ecological efficiency in road traffic as well as increasing road safety on the one hand, and on the other hand, granting consumers more product transparency and at the same time serving as an active decision-making aid.

Already during the incorporation, experts criticise the fact that the EU Tyre Label unfortunately only shows a few product characteristics. Apart from rolling resistance, wet grip and rolling noise, which are the main focus of EU tyre labelling, tyres have much more important and safety-relevant product characteristics, such as aquaplaning properties, driving stability, service life, braking properties on dry and wet roads, behaviour in wintry conditions, etc.

Tyre manufacturers point out that test results from various institutions and journals remain an important information medium for the end consumer. These tests usually focus on further safety-relevant product characteristics besides the EU standard qualifications for tyre labelling, which are always important for the final customer.

Lower tyre pressures are recommended leading to a much softer ride.

Very pleased with these tyres. Felt much safer driving in adverse conditions; a little noisy, but can live with that.
