Michelin Commander II 150/80B16 RF TT/TL 77H Rear wheel, M/C

A tyre for all brands of cruisers, for a longer life with no compromise on handling or stability.

Long-lasting.

MICHELIN Commander II tyres can last up to 25,000 miles for the rear. A new standard in longevity!

No compromise on handling or stability.

Thanks to their high-density, more rigid carcass (MICHELIN Amplified Density Technology), MICHELIN Commander II tyres are geared towards handling and feedback. The upper layers are made from aramid fibres on the rear, bringing together durability and light-weight materials for perfect stability even at high speeds.

Grips on wet surfaces.

Their lengthwise treads cut through water and increase grip on wet surfaces.

Innovative look

A radically different design for an explosive look. A premium finish on the sides for a seriously good-looking motorcycle tyre.

reassuring grip, great wear characteristics, good braking (with upgraded brakes) good ride & feel, covered over 12,000 miles with tyre, only replaced after serious accident-damaged tyre, wheel/forks. braking performance combined with 4 piston PM brakes saved life after impact with front/side of Van. tyre still had even tread across tyre width- never had such good wear with Avon Cobra/Venom/Road runner etc

Previously used the Bridgestone Exedra's. While these tires lasted long, their characteristics in wet weather was much to be desired off, especially in wet Irish weather. the Michelin Commanders are definitly a huge improvement in the bike stabillity with wet weather and roundabouts kan be taken with confidence without the rear of the bike slipping under wet conditions. Also brake stability much better, all in all a safer and more relaxed experiance with these tires, great road feedback!

Since getting new tyres bike much more responsive and stable

Good tyre in general so far. Lacks feedback and confidence in the wet. Firm ride compared to Avon tyres. It will depend on longevity as to whether I buy again. If they do achieve double the mileage of my Avons, as advertised then I may consider buying again.

Michelin – we take you further.

The vision of our founders, Edouard and André Michelin, has guided the development of the MICHELIN brand for more than 125 years: making driving as simple, safe, and comfortable as possible – first with innovative tires and wheels, followed by road maps, travel guides, and contributions toward improving traffic infrastructure. Along with this comes a strong engagement with the environment, as modern mobility must be sustainable and not detrimental to the environment.

Each year the Michelin Group produces more than 178 million tires in 68 production facilities in 17 countries, and it operates sales networks in more than 170 countries. The product offerings are many: from bicycle, passenger car, truck, motorcycle, and tractor tires, to tires for 5-ton earth- moving machines. Michelin employs 111,700 people worldwide and owns one of the oldest, most famous trademarks in the world – the legendary Michelin Man.

Targeted development: MICHELIN Total Performance

In the development of new products, Michelin faithfully pursues the concept of "MICHELIN Total Performance", backed by the rigorous standard of always bringing together a number of performance characteristics into a tire, to achieve optimal results. We follow this philosophy not only in the development of our standard products, but also in motorsports. Numerous technical innovations help to relieve burdens on the environment, drivers, and businesses. Hidden out of sight in tire casings, tread designs, and rubber compounds, throughout their lives MICHELIN tires show their full potential: they offer excellent grip, long life, and reduced fuel consumption thanks to their low rolling resistance.

To better understand the conditions which tires are subjected to in everyday use, in the summer of 2014 Michelin began a unique research project – the Road Usage Lab. Vehicles from 3,000 drivers in Europe were equipped with special measurement devices to record data about the tires' use. These valuable findings are being employed in the development of future tire models, making them better suited to the needs of real drivers.
